Rodrigo Cortes, director Gallego, 36, was launched this August to the world with his new Hollywood film, Buried (Buried): his first film in English and international in scope, because the protagonist is the Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds (The Proposal) . The film is about a contractor in Iraq who wakes up one morning trapped in a coffin with only 90 minutes, a phone and a flashlight to go. To see how the story ends, we shall have to wait until spring 2010. Cortes, with short films such as Dirt Devil, The 150 meters and feature Callao contestant behind him, is excited about his new job. We are shooting to a dizzying pace. You have to be awake 12 hours a day and that is extremely rewarding. We believe that this energy in a way so mad is enriching the film. For example, it requires the actor (Ryan Reynolds) to react immediately, you can not fake it. There is such a concentration, sense of being all in the same boat, which is being achieved against all odds.
